Yeah that's more human-readable, but not easily sortable.

Nicht großartig, nicht schrecklich.

I make $40k in a major american city

I hope you have healthcare, because that sounds terrifying.

I still remember the good old IBM Thinkpads, most of them were indestructible tanks. But with Lenovo, those times are long over. My last machine was a TP L390 Yoga. It overheated frequently, the cooling system was inadequate for the 4.6GHz Intel CPU, one day the logo sticker came off because the glue turned into sticky liquid, the passive Micro-Ethernet dongle cost 50€ and the cable turned into glue after a few months...god, what a shit machine this was.

I was able to work with it for a while by limiting and undervolting the CPU, but one day a Windows update came out that disabled the functionality and it worked like crap on Linux for a long time due to bad drivers.

I switched to GPD now. Never going back, although I miss the Trackpoint a little bit.

I have a GPD Win Max 2 2024 and it's such an amazing device. Everything works ootb on Fedora, except the FP reader (but that's already being worked on). Raytracing on a 10" device, what a time to be alive.

It's also very easy to disassemble, clean and repair.
So GPD definitely wins in my book.

So you expect human art to be perfect? That's not how the world works. I think it's a good composition, even though a setting like this wouldn't make perfect sense in the real world.

This is better and more real than AI art, for sure.

Hello, connoisseurs of the Wasteland!

Due to ongoing technical issues that are out of our control we have to abandon this instance and move to another one.

Hello, connoisseurs of the Wasteland!

This community was originally started on feddit.de and we were able to get almost 1.000 subscribers! Sadly, the administrators of that instance don't seem to care about it anymore - its webinterface has been down for two months and all of the images have vanished.

Since there is no Lemmy feature to transfer a community to another instance (currently), I have made the sad decision to abandon the old community and create it anew here on discuss.tchncs.de - the people here seem to have things under control and maintain their instance much better.

I have reposted the most upvoted posts from the old community and will probably do some more reposts to showcase the art now lost on the failing old instance. But there will also be more content! 🥰 Please feel free to contribute art by yourselves, too.

Have fun. -lichtmetzger
