I'm sorry, I still don't quite follow what you want. What does it mean to access the entire Fediverse?
leopardboy
Well, an instance is only going to have access to the data that's federated to it, which I'm pretty sure was the same situation with Usenet.
It sounds like your issue has to do with Mastodon's lack of full-text search, perhaps?
What exactly does it mean to be Usenet-like, in terms of a Fediverse experience?
Same. I've never had it screw up before, but the only thing I can imagine is that something's not right with the keys.
As an aside, I did recently create a new server, and somehow managed to completely ignore the errors in ssh-copy-id
. Turns out I forgot to use -m
(to create my home directory) in useradd
when I went to create my personal account. Oops!
Yeah, they were pretty amazing back in the day when you spent time actually using them to talk on the phone.
Yeah, kbin.social has been getting slammed and they've had to increase server capacity to handle the load. I'm sure their federation issues will get sorted out.
I ended up going with Linode's 2 GB Shared CPU option. I think it's possible to go with a smaller option, considering Lemmy doesn't have heavy requirements. I'm comfortable with what I have, and it's probably good for database cache.
I used to run FreshRSS and it worked well. I now use an app that just pulls feeds directly and syncs to iCloud. It isn’t quite as good as FreshRSS, but it works fine for me.
hahaha Sorry for the tough question. That time range sounds about right to me when I bought that hard drive I'm thinking about.
Have you confirmed that the public keys exist on the remote server in your .ssh
directory? Are the permissions correct?
Sendgrid has a free plan, I know, but I believe you're limited on the number of emails you can send per day.
