Its a CYA for SUSE. Certain technologies aren’t permitted to be shared outside of USA unless you go through the ETAR and assign if it commerically restricted/unrestricted, etc. If you are in USA you are bound by this anyway, even without a EULA.

Thanks. Yes, I noticed that openSUSE mentions it takes its sources from SLES Enterprise version (and Fedora is connected with RedHat RHLE Enterprise USA) so I guess that's where the corporate lawyers started chiming in :)

Sure, I see what you mean. Note that I responded to the "this sucks" remark about pass by the other commenter. There is no one preventing you to use for example one password entry with Pass on a remote work server logging in with ssh sharing it with a colleague while having the other 100 password work entries kept in KeePassXC and then using Bitwarden for your 200 personal passwords.

However, please please please support and push, protest, fight for societal changes for us collectively to drive less, eat less meat, and corporate carbon taxation.

You may be preaching to the choir. This year in Europe more than 50 percent of the newly bought cars were SUVs. To me that feels that most people do not care, they just want to enjoy themselves as much as possible before total collapse. Protest ? Three states in the USA recently banned protesting. In Europe with far right winning about everywhere will likely go the same direction. It is obvious in the news headlines. Fascism is on the rise and the masses do not seem to care about a burning planet and killing of everything but themselves.

Dunno. I like uBlock Origin a lot but disabling scripts per site is not something that feels very comfortable for me. With LibreJS it can be quite a hassle but I'm already quite used to that, and on the way I kind of learn things. Like that blocking scripts about Apple and Google logins at Twitter with LibreJS helps with clutter free reading and not being asked to login.
