This is exactly the reason I am going to install linux on my main Desktop, crazy coincidence of this meme. The temptation to play that addicting game is sometimes hard to resist. In linux I am more inclined to spend my time on stuff I learn from.

It takes some skill but there are ways to easily filet the fish. You also always need to eat it with the front teeth in case you missed one. I like to eat food that takes some work, it feels natural.

I can really recommend the old Thinkpad T-series business laptops if you don't game on it. I have bought one for myself and my mother, works great!

Otherwise the Dell Latitude which are business models too and can be bought cheaply.

I agree onboarding is a bad example, I think the social part is better face-to-face. I can understand that not everyone needs that in their job.
