I recently switched to kde plasma Wayland. So far a good experience, except my desktop icon positions get reset sometimes...

My sound card keeps resetting to default settings in c/linux@lemmy.ml

Have you tried: sudo alsactl store

I can highly recommend #HeroicGamesLauncher as addition to Lutris and Steam.

I had Linux Mint several years, it's a great Distro on Debian/Ubuntu. But, as a heavy gamer, I needed fresh and up-to-date sources for Mesa and the Kernel and so I switched to EndeavourOS, which is Arch-based and I can highly recommend it! It's rock solid and gaming is great.

EndeavourOS is the way! 😎😉 It's my daily driver, coming from Linux Mint.
