Nah, but was keeping it safe/covering my bases given my age. And it was from my psychologist not psychiatrist (should have clarified).

Mine was... A couple of hundred in AUD? And managed to get it at 31 too. Knew I never ever wanted kids, had a letter from my psych and the doctor asked me a few questions and said "Yeah, I get it..."

Snip snip, some pain for about 5 days and all done. Don't regret it one bit.

edit: Mine is technically reversible but from what I read the chances of that being successful drops each year.

When I started diving in to philosophy I found The Cambridge Dictionary of Philosophy to have handy to go "What the fuck did I just read?!" too

I've had a similar experience with online dating - chatting with people, then went on multiple dates where it became obvious they didn't actually want a relationship (although I was quite open about the fact that I did) or they were just not a good match for me. I agree with a comment higher as well about the 'spark' thing as I was realising I just wasn't feeling that with any of them. I've had people say before that they were just on them for validation rather than having any intent on dating.

That said, I actually deleted Hinge about a month ago as I was just kinda sick of it and one of the people I'd been on a date with prior (who I actually did have a spark for but the date was just a bit odd as we hadn't quite 'clicked' with our interaction styles yet and I suck at actually flirting) wanted to catch up again. We've been dating exclusively for over a month now.

I'll agree with your comment about the disparity as we joked about our online dating experiences - she'd been on some 20-30 dates and in even more conversations with guys after being on it for 4 weeks. I had been on 5 dates and 12-odd chats in 6 months and a lot of those chats just ended up going nowhere when you ask engaging questions and get either absolutely nothing or single word replies.

Hahaha thanks. She's a gorgeous Maine Coon. Vocal as hell as well which can be... frustrating. :)

I'm off today. Work I've had a lot of conflict and ended the day early to go for a walk, but also there's a few things I just need to rant about sorry...! Also have a picture of my cat showing how I feel today!

Had a meh day at work. Had to ask people to come in at least one day to the office just so I don't get shit for not enforcing the 3 day rule. (It's all about perception and some people were coming in 1 day a month and was getting comments from management)

A bit concerned about a friend of mine. We'd normally chat every day but they've been quiet since Saturday so have checked in with them to see if they're OK and no response... Hopefully will hear from them soon.

Hercules returns is a hidden gem

"He looks like a condom full of walnuts!" "He wouldn't notice if someone was up him with an arm full of deck chairs

They use their own kernel but a lot of the userland is FreeBSD-based (and some senior FreeBSD contributers are also Apple employees)

I occasionally do this too. For me it's when my internal voice starts turning to the "dark side" and ruminating on stupid shit, I start feeling overwhelmed etc etc.

Ergh, I have been on seroquel. It did not work for me (and it didn't help my arsehat psychiatrist just kept upping the dose when I said it wasn't helping, then would up the antidepressants when I started feeling numb from the seroquel.)

Never again...
