Should be interesting all those users like myself that use Newpipe to access YouTube.
I've got content on my YT account and I've actually watched a video via my Chromecast/Official YT app recently, it's something to be aware of I suppose.
I suppose a good canary on that then would be Google taking away the manual setting of PrivateDNS and making it only their DNS, in the name of some security threat/other reason.
Wonder why they haven't nuked them on desktop Chrome then, where extensions are a plenty?
Is mobile a much more juicy fruit for their advertisers, or is it like said elsewhere in here more a technical thing?

And phones sometimes last me more than a few years, sometimes I just buy another phone because it's a hobby of mine and I like tinkering?
I'm also not tied to a carrier plan and have been PAYG for waaaay over a decade and half now which I suppose helps me budget better for when I do want a new shiny toy.

There was a recent migration of the /pictrs folder here and some thumbnails didn't get stored whilst submissions were still occuring, and I'm not sure editing a database is wise to fix it. Disclaimer, am numpty.
