Yes, I saw that. He's living the 3 solves as they were his :)

New 4BLD World record by Stanley Chapel in :
1:04.60 mean of 3

When you look at the world ranking single and average, other cubers are only fighting for second place… And they are far away.
Amazing.

I don't really understand the point 🤷
But you can "unmixed" singles and averages with Result.

@narusite @cubers
And if you select 3x3 event, you have different results. It's strange 🤔

@FundMECFSResearch
I wish you, but… Think about your times could decrease 😬

Other fact: there are no sub-30 cubers over 70. Cross fingers! 😁

Fact: there are no average sub-10 cubers over 40s!

A thought to all the senior cubers as me 😉

Right. I hadn't seen that.

Cube solved in 17 s…
… with LBL method, cross on top!

Let me die.

[EDIT]
I watched it several more times and, this time is fake.
Video was accelerated. You can see it on his left arm, and the black rectangle was placed there to hide the head of the woman who would have moved too quickly otherwise.
Maybe he also knew scramble and memorize some moves. I'm disappointed 😞
Sorry.

@threelonmusketeers @cubers
Tried to solve as Yiheng… but at 0.10 % speed 😁

[–] l_inadapte@framapiaf.org 1 points 2 months ago

@thisisdee
i thought we never talk about experience and the total number of solves.
Did the cuber do 1 000 solves in his life? Or 10 000? Or 100 000?

That's an important point.

When you do your PB single an PB Ao5, then rise your arms to the sky screaming "yeah!!!" and…

You realize that an hour earlier you were training with special 2-gen subset scrambles and you forgot to put a normal generator back.

I didn't like at all the auto-alignment and corner magnet are too strong for me.
I tried different settings but I had a bad feeling every time.

@thisisdee
I agree, it depends on how we count our OLLs and their efficiency.

And you know what? I found a new prodigy:

Reddit cuber profil: Sub-17 with CFOP 4LLL method! PB: 9.97

[–] l_inadapte@framapiaf.org 2 points 2 months ago (3 children)

@thisisdee
Interesting, and crazy.
I didn't think it was possible.

But, maybe we would realize better if we all indicated exactly the number of OLLs. Cause:

2-look OLL = 7 cases
half of OLL = 28 cases

Knowing 20 more OLL cases can do a big time difference, you do not believe?

@TaTTe
Yes, a strong F2L intuition instead and a very good lookahead.
If it's true, it's amazing.

@cubers

Hey speedcubers! Do you think it is really possible to be sub12 and do a sub7 solve with only 3LL method?
Fake or real?

'cause I saw this profil on Reddit :

Xuanyi Geng about his 3.05 world record:

"I planned the first 3 pairs and tracked the 4th during execution."

Easy, isn't it? 😵‍💫
