in order from what we most enjoy to least enjoy genetically, body-wise:

  • legs develop muscle like it's nothing, and fat goes there too with ease
  • very big, uh, rear end
  • quick breast development
    • didn't start HRT super long ago, but breast development was noticed like literally two weeks after starting
    • family has VERY large breasts, to the point size reduction surgery was needed to relieve back pain for an aunt
    • also a bra is a must for us. bike rides without them are uh interesting to say the least (currently C cup size per a chart, more so B in reality)
  • femme looking face/eyelashes/jawline
    • we passed before starting HRT, but still helpful!!
  • long legs compared to torso
    • women's tops still fit us well despite our height, plus sexyyy
    • thigh highs are hard though
  • voice wasn't super deep, not exactly high pitch albeit certainly above average
    • has been very helpful in achieving a passing voice
  • pretty tall stature
  • body metabolizes nutrients insanely quickly
    • estradiol has helped a little, but not too much
    • has led to very low body weight (this can be bad!!!!!)
  • fairly large feet
  • SO much body hair to contend with
    • hormone therapy has helped a crazy amount, making hairs whiter, thinner, and grow slower thankfully
  • on HRT, our body can BARELY regulate temperature
    • our sister actually has to take a medication for this.
  • skin was eating itself alive, estradiol solved that though

oh its a size small. at least in our country "size" and actual length seem to correlate very little, mostly just the width. size seems to be based on body weight/fat, not the actual skeleton.

yes super comfy!! we are very very lucky to have some, thrift shops seem to be our best bet. still tricky thoughhh

we wish we could post you a couple for sharing, but sadly its not so feasible from our place. your friends may have some though, if you can then do ask :)

made with paper, glue, a memory card, and some colored pencils.

photo from around two and a half years ago

for those that don't get it

this is a flash memory card, and this specific one is a microsd memory card. however, back in ye olden days microsd cards were also called transflash cards (and sometimes still are today).

its ok :)) it is always good to spread the word tyy

bonus photo with the cat ~~probably~~ definitely plotting something evil:

(face mask because insecure about physical appearance at the time)

other experiences with the laptop

trying out linux from scratch natively (two years ago):

flashing libreboot (bit over one year ago, our room is not this depressing anymore. we have since discovered furniture):

"new" quad core processor!! (thnx libreboot for intel 3000 series support)

other details for those curious

we got the laptop (lenovo thinkpad t420) a few years ago for fifty dollars in remarkably good condition. the keyboard developed a fault in shipping seemingly, and the only other keyboard the seller had on had was JIS layout, so thats why japanese key legends. came with eight gigabytes of memory!!

the disk is 256 gigabytes (solid state), and the processor we upgraded from some dual core intel 2000 series to a quad core i7-3820qm, through the power of open source firmware. it also came with the high res screen option!

for software, we run artix linux, and also had our fun with linux from scratch (compiling all the packages gets old though when you're dealing with x11... blegh). the user environment is just i3wm, configured to a reasonable extent but not really with any add-ons. and yes we use vim why wouldn't we :3

we are plural (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

figured we'd let y'all know since we're a little active around here, plus it sorta fits the theme at least a little. uh if you are more curious see here. but we like just came to this realization fyi

honestly it does not seem so life changing. our personality will likely not change drastically hehe. this was mostly a realization amongst us, but nonetheless we'll definitely make use of "we". note we still may use "i" to accomplish specific things; our conclusions thus far have been uh COMPLICATED and in short its nowhere near as simple as "multiple people in the head".

now for the main part as to why we post this here: we feel though it has already given us a lot of insight on what gender identity transition is like, even with having figured ourselves out as a system very not long ago. it is again complicated, but the main takeaway we came up with was it can take a certain, very persistent train of thought to come to the realization of either being trans or plural. of course this is merely our view, and not always accurate, but we have known others who have realized their trans-ness through elaborate "what-if" scenarios too! in addition, there was also the simpler realization that using "we" just felt right, giving a similar feeling as when we were referred to as a daughter or girl pre-transition.

it may be the scientificness amongst us talking, but we want to take this as an opportunity to learn more (and possibly view in a different light) the experiences of those realizing their true gender identity(ies). we believe this will also help us figure out what we are, so do ask away, and we may or may not be able to answer :D

we only had to move it a few hundred feet/meters, but regardless it was definitely a little anxiety inducing hehe.

arguably we should not be given access to handtools and such machinery but here we are :3
