Tl;dr: Carney hasn't said anything specifically about protecting trans people.
kipo
Trans rights have been gutted in this country, Criminalizing trans healthcare is currently happening in the US. Trans people are dying and having to flee their homes and their families, so please, politicians, focus on transgender issues by protecting their civil rights.
Instead we have half the Democrats in office saying "Well what if we give up just some of trans people's civil rights? I'm sure the nazis won't take the rest away! I have to look soft on civil rights for this unpopular, marginalized group in order to get re-elected, so that I can keep protecting democracy from the nazis by doing their work for them."
Yep. She's talking about changing optics and messaging to something that resonates with the larger 'I know very little about politics but I still vote' group of voters.
The headline feels like clickbait.
Because essentially the question is, 'Do you believe in human rights, science, and health care?'
If they don't believes trans women are women, then they don't believe in human rights for trans people, don't believe in the science that says being trans is a real biological thing, and don't believe in treating gender dysphoria with health care that's proven to be incredibly effective.
The question is, will voters learn from this? Will they understand that when the president and his crew are straight up Nazis -- and congressional republicans do nothing to stop them because they support a Nazi agenda -- that the whole Republican party is now a Nazi party?
There won't be any "reasonable" Republicans to vote for going forword; they are all Nazis now.
We never could have seen this coming!

I have been straight up poisoned several times by improperly maintained soda fountains. I avoid them now.
Trans men are (or can be) biologically male. The best term to use for 'non-trans' men would be cisgender men. 'Biological' is the preferred term that bigots use to spread misinformation and insinuate that trans people aren't real, natural, or equal.
Someone else said it pretty well:
Biological sex is a construct. It is based on the observable traits of:
- Primary sexual characteristics
- Secondary sexual characeristics
- Gonadal Sex
- Chromosomal Sex
A fully medically transitioned trans person usually matches a majority of these, so it is totally reasonable to say trans women are biologically female, and trans men are biologically male. Generally, the binary categorization of sex is scientifically unsound; it should be understood as a spectrum.
I don't care what it comes out of as long as the machine is properly and regularly cleaned.
This seems to be a pretty bad-quality article, including proofreading errors, contradictions, and lack of sources. It makes me wonder if it's AI generated.

Thank you for the correction. Happy to be wrong in this instance!
