The Guardian recently did a piece on people losing all their money investing in crypto scams. It’s amazing that it’s so easy to fall for these criminals! Don’t know what the solution is (I don’t think castigating these people helps) but seems like there’s a wide knowledge gap here.

There’s the acrylic polymer/stone blend like Corian. Though that might be the $$$ option.

I think any political leader that wavers on that question of whether they want to be leader or not would be savagely attacked.

I think her government’s greatest achievements were:

  • legislating abortion
  • legalising euthanasia
  • raising the coal royalties
  • lots of solar farms in the pipeline

I think climate change generally and youth justice were two areas not enough has been done.

Yeah that’s really disappointing. Hopefully the actual announcement has more details, especially about effects on inflation.

“ The ABC understands the government will not cap the number of foreign students allowed in but will crack down on low-quality training providers ”

Sounds like it will do nothing. If the opportunity is still there then training providers will pop up to exploit whatever they can.

No it’s a well-studied woman thing.

“… women tend to be underestimated more. They tend to be interrupted, more talked over more. They have to prove their competence more and we often feel uncomfortable when they're in positions of authority.” https://www.forbes.com/sites/michelleking/2021/10/26/the-authority-gap-why-women-are-still-taken-less-seriously-than-men/?sh=3ed8223e634d

TIL Australian Sushi is a thing! It never occurred to me that they don’t have the easy to hold rolls in other parts of the world. I think they make up like 10% of my diet haha.
