IIRC there was a study where people with strong opinions talked to an Al and the process changed their minds.

Kino really has a sense of wonder and exploration that's hard to find. Made in Abyss also that kind of vibe but for all the wrong reasons, it's seriously fucked up.

If you're looking for something that won't traumatize, Dennou Coil is pretty good. I also liked Haibane renmei.
