Authentik can be configured through terraform

Thanks! I'll check it out

I tried it before authelia, and it felt like an unfinished product. Nice looking, but there were weird issues, like you could create projects (or apps? i don't remember) through the UI, but then if you wanted to delete them you had to use the API. The hierarchy of resources also didn't really feel intuitive to me. But that's just personal preference. I've been testing out authentik today and I really like it. I like that the UI works great, but there's also a terraform provider to manage things declaratively.

Yep, this is what I'm looking for

I like the "supportware" term, I can apply that to a few other tools (airbyte, teleport). I ended up setting up authentik today and it went really smoothly. So far I like it a lot, so hopefully the full enshittification process doesn't happen soon. Even though right now I just want to use it for my own self-hosting purposes, I'm also interested in potentially using it for work. We have a few hundred thousand users and AWS cognito is getting pretty expensive.

I'm currently using Authelia to authenticate for some of my self hosted services. It works fine, but the limited user backends (ldap or... yaml??) make me want to look for an alternative.

Authentik seems good, but after looking at their website I get the feeling of imminent enshitification, where they're going to either pull the rug on the open source version, or basically gatekeep essential features behind an enterprise license.

So, for those using Authentik, how has your experience been so far?

What issues do you have with jellyfin?

Can you elaborate on this?

I recently completed a project that involved a lot of deep diving into some newer k8s-related tools. I'd like to document my findings so that they may help others, but I don't know where to put them. Years ago, Medium seemed like an option, but it sucks now with all the monetization. Substack supports nazis, so not there either. Where do I post?

If you support this, you should also contact them to express your support.

Maybe I haven't found the right face shield. I have a couple, but I hate wearing them.

I have that same problem. I found a dust mask made by ForgedAir with an integrated eye shield that fits great, but the material around the mouth and nose is not very breathable so it makes my face sweaty. If you live in a colder climate than I do, it might be a good choice.

I have a larger than average nose. Specifically, I think the bridge of my nose is too wide. This means that most safety glasses sit up too high on my face, and leave a gap below my eyes that is unprotected. Do you have any recommendations for safety glasses that might fit me better?

I was going to buy a new one, but decided to try and fix it. I just had to replace a $7 capacitor, and it worked! I might still replace it anyway (maybe next year), since I hate the hum of AC fans.

My woodworking shop lives in my 2 car garage. I have several large-ish machines, like a sawstop PCS, a 12" jointer and a dust extraction system.

I'm in the US. I'm currently in the process of selling my house and moving to a different state 2000 miles away. I'm dreading having to move my woodshop. My main concern is those large machines getting damaged in transit. I plan to use pods for the move.

So, people who have gone through a similar move, do you have any tips? How did you pack large/heavy machines?
