I like how when a media is playing, whether it’s music on my phone or a movie on my apple TV, a widget automatically appears when I scroll down my watch face and can play pause there, or tap it to open the Now Playing screen.

I got this with my S4 5 years ago. For the first 2 years I wore it for swimming and running only but for the last 3 years it’s the only band I’m wearing now. So far no signs of damage but the buckle is a bit loose now so putting it on requires me to rest the watch between my wrist and something else or else the buckle will pop out while I insert the edge into the slot. But once it’s on it stays on.
I have the S4 which is now dying and no option to service the battery where I live so I’m upgrading to the S9 soon. Besides the speed, the only new thing I’m looking forward to is the larger screen. I will mostly keep AOD off. So I guess it doesn’t matter if I go for the S8 but I aim to keep my watch for at least 5 years hence getting the latest.
Does it allow you to browse the shows if not subscribed? Can’t do that with Netflix, HBO and Disney+. But can for Amazon.
When Apple stops providing updates or in the case of my watch after the battery health went down below 80% as we don’t have watch battery replacement here. My watch is S4 and it just reached 5 years now.
I can’t back my claim but I saw/heard somewhere that the Apple Watch heart sensor is more accurate compared to all others where it picks up less false readings.
Hope all goes well for you. I just wanna commend you for seeing the doctor first before coming here asking for medical advice.
I’m still using S4 but soon to get S9. My plan is to automate AOD by geofence. Eg, AOD should only be enabled when I’m away from home. Maybe I’ll pair that with a matching watch face.
Used to be Urban Outfitters Bumper but since the iPhone 12 Pro bumpers from any brand are so thick to protect the camera bump it just looks horrible. So now it’s Spigen Ultra Hybrid or any case with a transparent PC back. Not silicone back as they get yellow very quickly.
