Imagine liking only one thing.

(I like nothing)

Yes that was clear to me. I was saying that, while I don't find same-sex content objectionable (indeed it makes me happy to see this kind of representation on screen), and I personally think it's something children should be exposed to, many people would disagree. Just like other tags on here which I think children shouldn't be exposed to at a young age but others wouldn't mind. Relative morality.

Politically speaking, I would be happier if those who oppose same-sex relationships were to change their minds. They pose a threat to my life. But FOSS is for everyone, even people I disagree with.

Yes, CEOs are overcompensated, agreed. Doesn't mean their role in the company is unimportant.

Land, Sea, and Air blockade. They can't use the port.

Large language executive officer?

A rock concert emanating from a point will sound considerably louder at 5 feet vs 30 feet and will make just as much of a difference as 50 feet vs 300.

Of course, accoustics in a concert hall are designed to minimize this difference. Doesn't explain jet fighters though.

Sounds like you have a bad CEO. At five companies I've worked at, three CEOs were that bad. One CEO was very good.

I hate decibels. Such needless confusion over whether they're an absolute or relative scale, what the reference volume is, what the underlying SI units are. Are these all measured at a uniform distance? Why would you take a shower at the library?

He's not an economist, so I'd be healthily skeptical of this exact economic solution. You should however be very concerned about his opinions on where AI is going that it may necessitate this.

It's kind of curious that the headline here is "UBI" given that he mentions AI poses an extinction-level risk.

I see people say this a lot and it seems like a math error to me. That's like saying all forms of wealth redistribution have this flaw.

Unfortunately, shaking off users who are digitally conscious enough to use Firefox (and recommend alternatives) probably improves Twitter's odds.
