Fair. I'm at the point in my life ( 40 y.o. with 2 kids) where I would gladly pay money to a group that makes it easier to dive more often.

Mostly, I just talk everybody's ear off until they decide to spare themselves and just get certified. This is how my wife, her good friend, and her good friend's husband all got diving and then, naturally, we've gone diving together.

Also, anytime I've done a course at the dive shop, I usually get a phone number or two to open our group up a little bit.

After I got certified, I went about 10 years before I went diving again, because I live in Northeast Pennsylvania and it's not like I'm tripping over other SCUBA divers wherever I go.

Funny enough, subsurface is kinda' the reason I switched to Linux. My computer is over 15 years old, and I really wanted to wipe it clean but I had no way to re-install windows if I did so. Even though it was BARELY usable, I was holding on to it because it's the only way I had to download dives from my dive computer (I think I got the last one sold before switching to wireless uploads). Eventually, I found out that subsurface existed, and then I took the plunge.

Subsurface was kinda' my first exposure to the idea that somebody(s) would take any time at all working on software that they couldn't either sell or use to collect sellable data.

Yeah it is amazing. My wife breastfed both of our kids unti they werel about 2 years old. I can help with bath and story time, but it means I miss the absolute best cuddles. There are a lot of advantages to not being tethered to the child, especially when bedtime isn't going smoothly, but I'd give it all up for those sweet sweet cuddles.

We had this in our local, small town police department. Female police officer spoke up and blew the whistle on somebody that was accepting BJ's to let tickets slide.

The department "downsized", let her go, then re-upsized to hire a different person back. Then they said her allegations were just in retaliation for being let go. Then she sued for wrongful termination and I THINK she ended up winning.

I might have some of the details mixed up cause this was all going down JUST as I was moving into the town.

To be fair, I did have a baby in 2020 and it felt like every other week they sent an extra check for having a baby. 10/10 would recommend.

I use immich but if there are 100 people in this room, at least 99 of them know more than me so definitely don't weigh my words too heavily.

I'm engaged in a 10 year battle against chafing. I finally found shorts I like, but they were manufactured in partnership with my local running store, and they couldn't justify keeping the program going.

Then I switched to Asics 2 in 1 with built in boxer-briefs. I thought they were perfect but I swear the last 2 pairs I had lasted less than 5 runs before a hole opened up and allowed chafing.

Now I've been running in LuLuLemon shorts that are a tad smaller than I'd prefer, but they've been completely chafe free and seem to be holding up structurally.

For me, the flies in the eyes are just as bad, if not worse, than the flies in my lungs.

The opposite hurts too. Last week I only got myself a little pizza, expecting to clean up at least 1/2 a slice from each of my 2 kids. They spited me and they devoured their pizza with a focus and drive Is never seen from them before.

But remember when we found out CFC's were damaging the ozone layer? Somehow scientists convinced everybody to switch to more expensive, less effective refrigerants, and then it all got better. Gosh, we didn't know how good we had it back then.

Hello all, The first thing I setup to self-host was NextCloud, and I followed instructions and built the stack directly on the host computer. It's hosted on port 80, and I created a Cloudflare tunnel from "cloud.mydomain.com" which points to http://192.168.1.111 and everything works perfectly. I can access the site from wherever, and everything felt great. Now for the thing I really want, an Immich server.

I followed the instructions and set up Immich in a docker container. Everything seems to be working great, I can access it from within my network and backup photos just like I was hoping. Within the same Cloudflare tunnel, I tried to add a new Public Hostname. I want "photos.mydomain.com" to point to the same host but on port 2283. I added the public hostname and pointed it to http://192.168.1.111:2283, but whenever I point a browser there I get the "502 Bad Gateway" error from cloudflare.

I assume this is a Cloudflare configuration issue, but I'm not 100% sure. Do I need to do anyting special with docker if I intend to access it through Cloudflare? I THINK docker is set up correctly because I am able to access the Immich from a different computer on my local network. I thought using Cloudflare made it so that I don't to worry about setting up a reverse proxy. Is that maybe not true?

Or does Immich need something specific to tell it to accept traffic outside of my network? I remember having to set up NextCloud with "trusted domains" but when that wasn't correct, I got an error message from NextCloud, not from Cloudflare.

Any help would be appreciated. I've poked around a bunch and I'm pretty sure I can't solve this on my own.
