What I keep going back to are the teams that in the playoffs every year and going far in the playoffs without elite QB play. They all focus on team building first through the draft and then they get the QBs that drop to them.

The Chiefs before Mahomes. The Eagles before Hurts. San Fran before Purdy. The Ravens before Lamar.

The blueprint is there. Keep collecting talent in the draft and let the qb drop to you because you have a boatload of picks and can do it.

This is why I think the Bears keep Fields and trade back. It allows them to further stack their team and take a Qb that drops to them if Fields doesn’t pan out in year 4 or his 5th year extension year.

We don’t have to rush into a qb pick this year. We can be patient with Fields, stack the team and then ounce in 25 or 26 draft if a qb drops to us.

Fields has had a better year than Lawrence and Hurts. Fields is currently the best performing qb from the 2021 class.

If a new coach comes in and says he can’t win with Fields then this coach isn’t the new coach and you interview the next guy.

For every qb if you ignore the bad good games it makes them all look worse. It’s a bad take.

Been a great QB in last 17 games. Over 100 rating and 35 TDs

He’s already playing good, his stat line the last 17 games is comparable to Hurts. The question is does the front office think Caleb is better than Fields?

They got lucky. Had they had 1.1 they’d have drafted Caleb Williams, errr I mean Bryce Young.

Teams with mobile QBs average 39% of play calls in roll outs and play action passes.

Our team is under 20%.

Getsy is trying to make Fields into Rodgers.
