I don't think algorithms are inherently bad, honestly I think the lack of an algorithm holds the fediverse back. On lemmy, sorting by popular creates an okish feed, enough to familiarize yourself with different comms, but on mastodon and the like, it can feel empty. While algorithms are associated with corporatism, an opt in adapted to fediverse sensibilities algorithm, could make some fedi apps more accessible.

Lmao, way to go, I'm not even Mexican. You said the US was leading the charge and included racism, that's a silly statement, so I pointed out the absurdity of it.

Mexico is culturally western, but not white, ergo, not politically western. And Australia, you're British diaspora from a country constantly attacking the aboriginals through even their votes. While Mexico can be lacking, they're the ones with a female president and abortion rights, so again, the americans leading the charge is a humorous statement.

Lol, I'm skeptical in general, but following the drama, I struggle to read these kinds of comments as something other than "Running with our tails in between our legs is dunking, if we say it enough times it'll be true!" I mean, .world literally has a Zionist bot in media bias fact checker that makes sure to ever so slightly move .world in a more fascist direction every day, .world and it's sub-instances like .ca have no legs to stand on.

The basement dwellers reporting this probably are those same neckbeards with that argument. It's a major blow to their concern-trolling about a "gay genocide". They just hate it when the subtext of "white gay genocide is the only worrying genocide" gets called out. Specially in based rainbow spaces.

Yes, I'm surprised so many are sticking to that instance despite the mods, maintainers, and main posters all displaying their expertise in Mussolini thought. I guess their fear of tankieism far outweighs their delusions of morality.

Didn't mean it literally, only that it's so shitposty that it can overshadow most serious conversations. It is a far better moderated and accepting community. It's mainly their trans posts that made me better accept trans individuals. And I discourage writing them off like most should with 4chan.

I can see why folk don't like hexbear as they come off as leftist 4chan, but you don't need to make things up. They often talk about traveling. I agree with a lot of their content and disagree with some, I've been to 10 countries. In the plane to France, an African told me how their country is still enslaved to France. Personally I don't see the value in the immediate destruction of the west, but with their leaderships ardent support for Nazi Germany, Apartheid, the Climate Crisis and assassination of climate activists, others, and now Zionism, they should lose influence through any means necessary.

It is trafficking. Growing up in that church, I still agree with a lot of the stated philosophical beliefs, the actual behavior of most of the community is incredibly disappointing and leans cult-like. The mission isn't inherently trafficking, the religion isn't inherently a cult, but it's not beating the allegations and more within need to call out the members that commit these illegal organized atrocities and make it into a cult.
