I’ve commented more here in this short time than my 10 years on reddit. I feel heard and I feel supported. Most people are civil and respectful and I really appreciate it. Thank you all.

I ended up with a net positive with this game. There’s elements of the story, characters, gameplay and world I love. But certain aspects had execution and pacing problems. Someone mentioned if the story was a novel this would be an amazing read and I absolutely feel it

All the ingredients are there. It was limited by the execution of the game. I personally feel it would’ve been better as an old school pixel rpg.

That all being said. Loved the talent performance, emotional journey, ending etc.

“I’ll break into people’s houses and wreck up the place!”

God damn I completely forgot about multi disc installs! That was the pits.

That’s sick. XVI is such a strong game with some really sick design. Since I’m just simply not a fan of the Ps5 design, this really helps it.

I don’t know enough about the olympics or the state of the Gabba. What I do know is from an experiential point of view people won’t give a crap if the stadium looks a little old. They will care about the trip as a whole. From a slow ass train from the airport into town. Having a narrow footpath to walk next to 4 lanes of traffic. And not being able to explore anywhere but southbank and the city without a car.

Good tourism should make people want to live here. That’s the point of hosting the games. As long as the venue does the job it’s fine.

VI is wonderful. One really good note I heard from an analysis video was the presentation of VI feels and looks more like a play. A diorama playing out in front of you. So the dialogue and reactions is all based around this idea and setting. Because modern ff or most games in fact are told through a more cinematic lens and linear storytelling. This note might help you enjoy the story more I hope.

I played 2 first without play 1. Now I’ve started I was immediately connected to Marston. But also adjusting to gameplay will take a while. 1 after 2 feels like a stripped back mobile version of 2. Still enjoying.

Now that I say I always wanted to have this feature I wonder if I’d realistically use it.

Is Dex useful? Have you used it in any regular or useful way?

Is this game actually worth playing now? I haven’t been following. Last I heard was at launch when everything as a buggy unfulfilled mess.

I hope there’s some kind of desktop mode when plugged into a monitor. All I ever wanted from a smartphone when it first became a thing was to be able to go into the office. Plug your phone in to do general tasks
