Sad.

I hope opponents' supporters come up with some (not so) creative chants. Didn't happen with Partey (or did it?), but I wonder if it wouldn't be super effective if the crowd just continuously yells "rapist" every time Greenwood has the ball.

I don't see it happening, but feel like that would receive a lot of media attention and put pressure on ManU.

What a guy. And how amazing for these under 18s who are gonna be trained by him. Even if it's a short period, it can be an inspiring experience.

The Saudi league will never be a top league I think. No offense to anyone but playing for a European club and competing in the champions league will surely remain the ultimate goal for the foreseeable future.

The money is what draws players for the time being. Saudi Arabia has lots of money now but that country is doomed and foreigners are not gonna be happy to live there, especially players' partners. When the extreme amount of spending stops then top players will have no reason to go there.

Cause honestly, why would any top player move there if not for insane amount of money? It's not a nice place to live (especially compared to London, Barcelona, Milan, Munich, etc) and without the champions league and the lack of history of the local league... I feel like they're never going to consistently be able to get top players for the next ten years.

They'll probably do it until they host the world cup. Maybe it's extreme now because they want to make a big splash, but I think they're gonna spend a lot of money for players, stadiums, bribes, etc to be able to host in 2034.

£100 million for one year left on his contract... It's honestly insane. Seems like even just decent players these days go for tens of millions. The (footballing) world has gone crazy.

I wonder what the players and coaching staff think... and their female partners and daughters.

Obviously also men should not want this guy as their colleague, but like these protests show women probably care more.

Ten Hag is married to a woman and has two daughters. Only being supportive of women because you have daughters is stupid, but I do wonder about the conversations they might have.

I would absolutely talk to my husband / father in this situation. And what could Ten Hag say exactly? Morally he has no leg to stand on, for Man United it's purely a financial decision. Greenwood represents a certain value and the club doesn't want to give that up. Ten Hag could make his value for ManU zero by announcing he does not want rapists in his squad and will never play him. The fact he hasn't is really disappointing.

How can you face your wife and daughters while defending a rapist and abuser? I don't know how those two can ever be compatible and I would lose so much respect for anyone who does.
