A coalition without the PVV would be kind of ideal for Wilders. He can keep bitching about how undemocratic the other parties are (obviously it's not undemocratic but his voters won't understand that) and won't have to come up with any ideas. He can remain anti-everything and wait until the fragile coalition will inevitably fall, after which he'll win 50 seats in parliament.
As much as I would hate to see Wilders as prime minister, I would perhaps worry more about the next elections if he can remain in the opposition.
Or course I'm being a bit dramatic but considering how things were I do think the Netherlands is going to shit a little bit. Of course it's a better place to live than many other places, but in my opinion it's definitely getting worse.
Things have been going shit here actually, and blaming minorities for a country's problems is still a surefire way to win votes. As a dutch person I'm sad, embarrassed, and scared.
Bizar. Het idee dat een bevolking rationele democratische beslissingen kan nemen is voor mij ondertussen als onwaar bewezen. Zoveel mensen die om, voor mij, totaal onduidelijke redenen op bepaalde partijen stemmen... Ik word er moedeloos van.
Ik denk echt dat een enorm deel van PVV stemmers geen duidelijk antwoord kan geven op de vraag waarom ze op deze partij hebben gestemd. En toch telt hun stem evenveel als de mijne. Ik wil ze niet allemaal wegzetten als randdebielen, maar jezus man hoe kan dit toch?
Zeg ik liever niet, sorry maar wil niet gedoxxed worden. Maar in het algemeen, denk aan nieuw beleid mbt:
Een paar voorbeelden waar meerdere ministeries mee te maken hebben. Ik werk er (misschien) niet maar ik zou bijvoorbeeld heel veel moeite hebben als ik voor de onderwijsinspectie zou werken en wij gericht islamitische scholen moeten gaan targeten met controles zodat er redenen kunnen worden gevonden om die te sluiten.
Zal wel een tijd duren voordat er een coalitie is en dat vervolgens het beleid wordt aangepast, maar ondertussen zullen de ambtenaren die op de PVV stemmen zich ongetwijfeld gesterkt voelen om dit soort ideeën al vast te opperen / normaliseren.
I understand what you're saying and I think this is what happened in Denmark, but I disagree.
We just can't normalize xenophobia. My partner and I are of different nationalities and races and we've both been immigrants. Our future kids will be mixed race and might seem foreign regardless of where they live.
I don't want to live in a society in which we normalize hatred for immigrants. I want everyone to feel welcome, I want everyone to feel like they belong.
Of course with left-leaning parties this small many foreigners already feel unwelcome, but if even left-leaning parties start with this hateful rhetoric... I would lose all hope and probably just leave. I wouldn't feel safe to live here with my family.

Ik ben ambtenaar voor de rijksoverheid. Het ministerie waar ik voor werk kan zomaar een extreem rechtse koers gaan varen. Zie het niet zitten om zulk beleid te gaan uitvoeren. Heb nu al moeite maar van deze uitslag word ik gewoon bang.
Weet niet of ik naar iets anders moet gaan zoeken of dat ik juist moet blijven om vanuit de ambtenarij een tegengeluid te laten horen.

Gaat echt een puinhoop worden met de PVV... Een mix van racisten, xenofoben, fraudeurs en, we waren het bijna vergeten, brievenbuspissers. Zal nog wel wat dubieuze mensen zijn vergeten. Wat een armoede zeg.
