Yeah I understand the context of Pim Fortuyn of course and I agree it's not a good joke or anything like that. I just feel like this is made into way too big of a deal for what was probably an off thr cuff comment.

I do think that "fuck around and find out" should be true. Baudet for example is just a fascist who is friends with the Russians and wants to destroy democracy in the Netherlands. I honestly think that until his party is outlawed it's a good thing he gets hit with umbrellas and beer bottles. Fuck him so hard, I don't think what he says should be tolerated.

So frustrating that being a notorious criminal / scumbag / scammer / etc will not only often pay off in and of itself, but if for whatever reason you're prominent enough, you'll also inevitably get offers for some TV or movie deal.

Crime shouldn't pay. These stories should still be told and I think there is some value to society, but I don't want the criminals to make any money. I wish there were some law that would prevent this somehow. Difficult to implement obviously, but this is a shitty situation.

The vast majority of places don't have zwarte Piet anymore. My young nieces don't even know who that is, they only know him as Piet. Why repeat this shit about zwarte Piet when it's fading away?

2. Let's see some numbers that ads work. You can't just calculate how life would be without ads, but I wonder what would happen if ad expenses for all companies would be capped somehow. When cigarette companies were severely limited in terms of advertising they saved a ton of money. Of course people already knew their brands, but still.

I think ad space sellers wildly overestimate the effectiveness of ads and google has made it far worse with targeted ads. People have gotten used to saying things like "ads work" and "brand recognition" but does anyone know the numbers? Or is this just repeating some phrases you've heard?

I don't know the numbers myself, but I'm quite skeptical.

Would love the UK back. Besides wanting it to be easier to travel there, I think it is also the best way to show how beneficial the EU is. If they already want back in after such a short period of time it sends a strong message to the many anti-EU people across the continent.

Plenty of evidence that physical activity is healthy though. Not disputing the 10,000 steps being made up but absolutely a good thing to regularly go for a walk.

Wat ik me afvraag met Plasterk:

• was hij diep van binnen altijd al zo en zat hij bij de PvdA omdat hij dacht daar het meest succesvol te kunnen zijn (een 'links lullen, rechts vullen' achtig persoon)?
• is hij diep van binnen nog wel meer PvdA'er dan wappie en doet hij nu alsof om zo succesvol mogelijk te zijn?
• is hij oprecht van "mening" (in aanhalingstekens wat klimaatverandering is niet een mening, maar goed) veranderd?

Deze man heeft een PhD in natuurwetenschappen. Hoe ga je van dat naar niet geloven in klimaatverandering?

Ik lees nu wat meer over hem. Misschien heeft hij gewoon te veel geld verdiend, dat doet rare dingen met mensen:
