Adguard has been working very well on my android phone, even better than Blokada... maybe try it out, because afaik you don't even have to download anything, you just set it up in your DNS configuration (haven't done it myself, but it seemed easy enough)

Oddly enough, I keep seeing people reporting that Youtube is blocked for them if they use ad blockers, or that they are now seeing ads regardless, but... it still works fine for me, using ublock origin on Firefox

I started working from home at the beginning of the pandemic and have not returned to an office (or a school, in my case) ever since

My standards of personal hygiene did not fall even a little bit. I stay clean, shave my beard or trim it if I want it to grow a bit, and I wear deodorant even if I'm alone inside my home, which is the case 99.9% of the time. I shower every day. In fact, I usually shower twice because I typically split my workout in two parts, to fit it in my very irregular work schedule.

The idea of skipping showers, smelling bad, wearing dirty clothes, not brushing my teeth or simply skipping any part of my personal grooming is unthinkable to me. It's not about looking good or following hegemonic standards of hygiene or something. I just feel like shit if I'm dirty. It feels nice to look and smell good and wear clean clothes, that's all there is to it. Am I oversimplifying this?

it seems that Israel's offensive has begun... reminds me of this quote:

"The mask of humanity fall from capital. It has to take it off to kill everyone -- everything you love; all the hope and tenderness in the word. It has to take it off, just for one second. To do the deed."

Avi Bluth

"I mean, it's one AGM-114 Hellfire missile, Michael... what could it cost? Ten million dollars?"

Jesus Christ, every day I take like ten minutes and go to /r/worldnews to see what they're up to, and I've honestly never seen this level of pure, unmitigated bloodlust on Reddit. This is post-9/11 levels of just the most unhinged islamophobic blood thirst that I've ever seen.

These motherfuckers are mainlining IDF propaganda 24/7, and even the most tepid, timid pushback is downvoted to oblivion and gets dozens of answers that read like absolute fucking demons demanding nothing but the complete annihilation of Gaza. I saw comments implying that all Palestinians support Hamas and are therefore fair game in war, and these comments have thousands of upvotes.

I don't know why I still bother. That site achieves the unthinkable: it is way fucking worse than Twitter.

oh no!

liberals, who are tasked with feeling bad when they see atrocities, are overwhelmed with how bad they are feeling!

enough is enough! they are ripping their lanyards and huffing loudly as they leave! oh my!
