I don't think I would argue against this law, IDK. It's just a slap in the face to see they recognize how dangerous the thing is.

We always knew they would do nothing to legislate misinformation, bigotry, and electioneering on the US-based platforms. But now we know for a fact that they understand these platforms are weaponized against the public.

It is the same worse. Billionaires do not have an allegiance to the well-being of any nation's citizens. What is a foreign state going to brainwash us with that could possibly be worse than the existing gamer-to-far-right-radical pipeline?

An investor in a company will push to make that company gain market share. As we can see here.

The owner should forfeit the property if they don't pay taxes. The only options Canada should have is if they want to gift it to this guy to get a mortgage on it and pay what's due or sell it to get their money.

That would make sense. This current thing is one of the dumbest, most citizen-hostile laws I have ever seen, and I am saying that stuck in the US.

Oh, interesting. Worth a shot, thank you for the tip.

You guys got a small claims court up there? It takes a ton of your own time but I would do it out of spite.

Wait that wasn't already the case? Unbelievable that it was ever possible for a company to wildly change what was agreed to and not be required to refund. This country is a shithole.

Are they not? I don't know how attacking the courthouse would help the outcome. I guess whatever it takes for another delay.

The Amendment still exists but someone gave Clarence Thomas an RV so it isn't in force at the moment.

Spraying chemicals directly in the faces of nonviolent students and then beating the shit out of them with batons.

Yeah but that's just on YouTube and Facebook now. Nobody is going to regulate them in the slightest.

It is a slap in the face if they want to say it is too influential to have an adversarial state control it, at the same time leaving it fine for local billionaires to do the exact same things.
