They will record it and upload it at your next service.

Capitalism stans: competition means the prices have to reach a fair value.

Capitalist grocery: [purchasing all the smaller groceries at a fair value]

Definitely no cloud is a strict requirement here, too. I see where you are coming from. A couple of times I wanted to print something but instead had to replace bearings and recalibrate. That takes days or longer because I am low motivation about it. I guess that's the price I have to pay to ensure I'll always be able to replace parts with standard components and recalibrate.

Oh, yep, that's shady and bad behavior. Thank you.

You know, I'm sure it is great. But looking around at the absolute bullshit I see with 2D printers, I'm never buying a closed source machine for 3D. People are even complaining about Brother these days, seems like only a matter of time that proprietary machines go to shit.

FYI my understanding is that Incus is forked from LXD, because nobody trusts Canonical any longer. I don't think LXD itself is them doing the thing that makes them untrustworthy.

You might be referring to something they have done since then, apologies if I misunderstood. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to make it a Snap or force Snaps into it.

It is absolutely a different situation if it is opt-in. If Ubuntu made Snaps opt-in, people might not like them but it'd be a minor critique instead of fleeing the distro.

You are right, but let us be salty about him anyway.

How do you set up stable diffusion to run locally? I have been trying out llama.cpp for text and was looking for a similarly easy tool to try image generation.

I'm not sure if HIPAA requires medical providers to delete your data, let's make certain to include that. It needs to act transitively. If you request deletion, the data must be gone from everyone they passed it on to, and so on. If they send it abroad and cannot enforce the deletion, let's have some million-dollar fines per instance.

What the fuck, I have been brainwashed. Ludd et al were legit. We could have a really nice society but somehow the average person is irredeemably stupid to not join a movement such as that.
