I have the RG350. I've not seen a compelling reason to buy anything different since.

Does anyone else think the market is saturated with many similar devices?

I'm the admin of social.photo. Thanks for joining! Lemme know if you have any questions or issues!

I'm there with you

[–] jgrim@discuss.online 4 points 6 months ago

Hahaha, that'd be real bad.

Nah. I didnt want to build anything yet and just wait to when I migrate to sublinks. But that will be a bit longer.

I'm using MediaWiki. There might be a way to accomplish this easily. I'll look into it

Over 1.1 Million articles were created. Each by a different user.

Yeah, I'm not convinced people notice the ones on D.O. regarding the other sister sites or donations. Perhaps a change to the theme or something.

Yeah, I am for now. However, if I lost my job or something major happened I'm not sure I'd be able to keep paying for it all. I should probably do better at fund raising. 🤔

Thanks!

I should add that there is almost exclusively cost to being an admin. For example, I pay around $5000/year to host demo.sublinks.org, discuss.online, matrix.discuss.online, social.photo, and utter.online. I take in a negligible amount of donations. Plus, I spend a lot of time moderating content and maintaining infrastructure.

I should have clarified that its documentation on the instance or new user groups. You make a point about new users not knowing. There isn't a way to create a welcome email easily for new users so perhaps a banner or site sticky would help. I find that most don't read the sidebar.

Chill garden is a way better term. Makes it seem more intentional rather than being censored. Might be a good name for a new instance.

I see signups but no activity. I'm not really sure it's growing but people are trying it.

I took this lover over the downstream side of the damn. I loved how the sun made the grass glow.

On June 19, 2023, I setup scaling for the environment. My experience doing this is with AWS; however, I host this service with DigitalOcean. The good news is I now understand how DigitalOcean Load Balancers work. The bad news is I had intermittent outages throughout the day.

Sorry, I'll do better.

I noticed some random slowness when using the web client. It looks like the web client's backend is significantly CPU hungry. I decided to segregate the front-end and back-end clients. I can already tell a significant difference.

hariette@tech.lgbt - #kbin + #lemmy app is coming along. Here's a preview of the upcoming beta. This is less than a week’s worth of work,  so it’s only up from here 😉

Based on polls, looks like Artemis is winning for the name. Which is a great tribute to #ApolloApp 🙏

Stalk my work and suggest ideas in the app's Discord server (link in bio).

When you get to the edge of a map, you just get stuck running. There isn't any indication that you're at the end. I suppose people will get used to boundaries in the end. But for now, I get killed a lot trying to take cover in a boundary.

Also, has anyone noticed that you stop randomly while you're running, like there is a wall there? I think if you jump, you get to keep going. I'm sure it's a bug in the game, not just me, right?

Which one of you is getting the vision pro?

Here is an update from the core developers of Limmy. It addresses a lot of open questions and concerns by the community. It's a great read.

How do they even plan on enforcing this? What would possibly be the consequences for either parent or child if they violate?
