Sounds like my kind of movie.

Thanks for sharing!

The story / writing is pretty bold too. It's nothing new by modern standards, but it was probably relatively novel in 1982.

I like Terminator 1 a lot more than T2.

It's much more grim-dark with horror elements. I would even go as far as saying there are subtle cyberpunk motifs in T1. There is also a modicum of character development. Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese) does a great job.

T2 feels more like a teen's summer action movie in comparison. It lacks that edge and is overly sentimental.

I will note that growing up I liked T2 a lot more than T1.

I decided to skip Joker 2 once I heard it was a musical (and then I heard the reviews were bad).

You got me curious about Phoenix's singing so I looked up some clips on YouTube.

You were right, it's not good. Not good at all.

These just seem like a bunch of kids' movies. I remember watching some cartoons on VHS again and again, like ~20 times a year.

Unfortunately, nobody can watch The Dungeon today because all prints have been lost to history.

That's really too bad. I don't watch too many movies from the silent era, but I would be interested in checking this one out.

Get Out won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay? This is news to me. They deserve it, it was a good movie.

I was surprised that while I liked Get Out, I did not enjoy Nope at all. Still have to check out Us, it seems like a fun horror.

Found footage, but with a COVID-era twist.

That's how it's supposed to go! You know you got a good track on your hands!😆

This is an upcoming romantic comedy slasher for those who don't like watching trailers.

I am not going to get into the drama around Oscar nominations, however, I will disagree with Brolin that Part II was the better film.

I am a huge Dune fan (have read all the Frank Herbert Dune books, have read Dune and Dune Messiah at least 10 times and have read the others books in the series several times).

Part I was relatively focused and was an excellent representation of the introductory part of the book. Part II simply did too many things at the same time. I spoke to many people who watched the (new) movies, but never read the book and they found many components of Part II to be a bit confusing.

Honestly, they should have gone with a trilogy. Dune is basically written as a 3 act book. The intro which Part I captures perfectly. Paul Atreides and Jessica Atreides' integration into Fremen society is the second act. And the third act culminates with the resolution of the narrative.

Part II is a great film, just it could have been better if it was split into two.

It seems they get enough viewership to make it financially viable.

Plot outline sounds solid (not watching the trailer). Will have to be on the lookout for this one.
