I once heard an intersting tedtalk about privacy and a lady explained the matter so everyone should be intersted in privacy, and it still is my argument against "i have nothing to hide" conversations:

Unpopular opinion: i think the whole concept is just "selling a problem" instead of solving it. All the participating stores now can "green"-wash their hands and do literlay nothing against foodwaste and are just building am industry around it. Rather than ordering or producing less products in the first place.
Aha, so this initial pocess requires energy. But then once the heat is accumulated somwhere we can harvest it there and run the proces of that energy (minus the effficency loss)
