Lately I switch between connect, unified remote, and steam link for the same reason. I also have a backup mini wireless keyboard for when none of them want to work right.
Are you able/willing to ask for help when you need it? That's always been an issue for me, I'm not alone but have a hard head and push myself too far way too often.
