Considering it powers most of our economy yes it is. But its also very dangerous to continue relying on them.

haha didn't realize it had that comic till now. I guess the one and only reason is if I lose the laptop somewhere or if someone finds it it's just a brick to them. Otherwise, yes, I have nothing on there that I would would let someone break my legs over. Another added benefit is if I die in a freak accident my wife can't check my browser history.

I like them, i use debian so for programs where i want the latest version while still maintaining my stable debian base i just install the flatpak. Best of both worlds to me. Additionally theres some software thats just packaged better in a flatpak like logseq. I do however try to use flatpaks as little as possible, native apps are always quicker but this may change one day.
