I challenge the apathy part. There is a lot of apathy, no doubt. But, I think most who are seen as apathetic are just weak, selfish, and lack foresight. They would prefer a different situation, but not at the cost of their own pain.

I grew up in conservative south. I got wrapped up in the 2a against tyranny too. I agree that it does make sense. I too am baffled by how they are the tyrant’s forces.

I hear ya, but consider that will make a VERY tense situation that will likely deter voters from engaging.

Gear up, the hopefools will learn too late.

I have prejudices that are wrong. I know that they are wrong. I know the kind of futures that will never exist if I exercise them. I don’t know, if it’s nature or nurture.

The leeches are not the immigrants, unless they happen to be an oligarch immigrant like Elon.

In reality, a foreign patron walks in, makes an order, and then you shoot them in the face.

You guys don’t care if they came here legally. You don’t care if they are refugees who only want to be back home. You don’t care if they are true asylum seekers. You don’t care if they follow every letter of the law.

Oh, my dad will hear about it through his friends and talk radio. He will internalize that we need to die for it.

Then later on he’ll express that he hopes they don’t fell the remaining old growth trees in the local park. The MAGA workers there hate the leaf cleanup that they unnecessarily do. They have felled many old growth hardwood trees with disdain. Then I have to explain to him again that the primary group of people who want to preserve those trees are going to be killed by him and people like him.

Huh, yeah that purple triangle. I remember that now. I went to the Holocaust museum in DC a long time ago and everyone in our group was given a passport-looking dossier of a victim. Most were Jews, some Roma, and mine was a JW woman.
