Thank you, I was a wee teenager when he was in office, which is probably why I don't know him.

Hopefully it isn't too long ago and the younger demographic will know who he is.

Never heard of him.

Doesn't say anything about his ability to rule, it's just the first time I've heard the name.

It makes me scared for the future of Montreal. If pro-urban mayors can simply get bullied into stepping down, will anyone want to fill that role or will Montreal slowly revert back to car centricity under conservative leadership?

Partly correct, it's owned by the Canadian-American RBI alongside Burger King and Popeye's, which is 30% owned by 3G Capital, a Brazilian investment firm.
