Tsja, wie moet je geloven. De ene heeft brede steun onder de bevolking en brengt een goed onderbouwd verhaal onder de aandacht, en de ander is het kabinet.

Thank you, that is indeed helpful.

I've found a local supplier that can mix Sikkens ON.00.78 for me, which looks to be close to that colour. I've been lightbrighting the plastic for a few days to see how that works out and consider my options.

I'll keep you posted.

That last one has a community on Lemmy dedicated to it: !hackernews@derp.foo.

Disclosure: I’m running the bot.

I know. Sadly, there had been a (by now degraded) sticker on top of the monitor which left a clearly visible discolouration that I believe requires a fairly aggressive retrobright to get rid of, which I'm afraid might damage the plastics.

I understood that to be the "Putty" colour of the Apple ][, not the "Platinum" colour Apple was supposedly using at this stage.

I have one (came with my display) and it works really well. Plus it’s safe for their nanotextured displays (which are sensitive to having their nanotexturing worn off by cloth that’s even mildly abrasive).

Floppies. So many floppies.

I’m a xennial. Though we were always a bit behind the curve (my first computer was a Philips XT clone, back in the early nineties), so I guess I’ve always been retrocomputing.

But yeah, it’s kind of shocking to see people being all nostalgic about stuff I consider newish.

(And I’m still cursing myself for throwing out my CPD-G420)

Interesting. I have the classic FSSK on order. How’s the keyfeel compared to, say, a model M?

Day can be seen holding the prime radiant as they leave the vault.

Blatant speculation possibly spoiling the ending of the seasonI think we haven't seen the last of the castling device. Consider the following:

  • Back when castling devices were introduced, Hober Mallow demonstrated that only one party needed a castling device for it to work;
  • Foundationers were somehow able to move from the planet's surface to Invictus after the empire had already blockaded Terminus;
  • Bel Riose felt like it was all too easy, he was worried he was being led into a trap;
  • There were really a lot of devices in that bin that Poly knocked over in the church;
  • Demerzel, after meeting with Harry Seldon in an enviroment where the latter had full control and could easily sneak a message past Day, suddenly felt like she had to be elsewhere.

I think the last episode is going to reveal that it all indeed was a trap, and that a lot of Foundationers have castled aboard Shining Destiny, stranding part of Bel Riose's crew on Invictus and the planet's surface right before both are annihilated. Hober Mallow ends up stabbing Day, thus piercing his hide and requiring Demerzel to decant a new ~~clone~~ Cleon.
