I had the opportunity to visit San Diego for a workshop in the spring of 2001 when air travel was still a joy. I chose a hotel close to the venue thinking it was walkable, it wasn't. I had to take a cab to get there though it was about a half a mile away. I moved to a different hotel farther away but close to a Trolley stop that made it much easier to get to the workshop. I have fond memories of this trip and the beauty of San Diego. I to wish it was more walkable.
