Yall cynical af. People actually ain’t so bad if you get to know em.
Really what it comes down to is fear. Fear of something unknown (or even a fear of yourself - repressed homosexuality) breeds hatred. Violence is externalized hatred, which is the ego’s attempt at quelling the fear.
It sounds corny, but the moment folks stop allowing fear to govern their behavior and actions, is the moment when love (lack of fear) can start becoming the norm.
I think therefore I forget
First week starting a new job. My sleep schedule was absolute garbage before.
The 3rd day I accidentally hit “stop” instead of “snooze” on my alarm. Woke up at 11am (start time was 9am).
Luckily they didn’t fire me. But my coworkers all thought I was an alcoholic for the next few months. Fun times…
