This, and also a lot of milk is needed to make cheese.

The original study does show water pollution, even going so far as to split it between acidification and eutrophication.

The original study does include shipping. You can even see it divided out here.

Handwriting to text support. I haven't found anything with this since OneNote. You'd think that in the interceding decade, someone would have made a FOSS equivalent. Especially now, with the rise of AI.

Writing things by hand is a big part of knowledge retention for a lot of people, but I also need to be able to search my notes. Text can be searched but typing doesn't help with memory, and handwriting helps with memory but can't be searched in the apps at my disposal.

It looks so much like this meme to me.

People eat fortified foods all the time, whether they know it or not. Dairy milk, breakfast cereal, bread, orange juice, even table salt have all been fortified.

The trend of treating SERVICES like they need to bring a profit rather than simply provide an essential service is extremely frustrating. At this rate, even the mail service will be whittled away until everything is privatized.

Many, many mushrooms look like button mushrooms to the untrained eye. And yes, apps do not count as a trained eye.

The chances of these actually being button mushrooms is low. The chances of properly IDing them is also low.

Do not eat them. I would even hesitate to label them as "button mushrooms" here because it might pollute image search results.

Rnote is currently the best for handwritten notes in my opinion, but its organization is minimal. I have never found a 1:1 replacement for OneNote, but luckily I no longer need it desperately like I did a decade ago.

Straightedge is a punk subculture, so if you're not into the music then I wouldn't use the term.

I understand that it might seem a step too far, but in a way I'm thankful that someone is pushing back against the whitewashing of Christian holidays as the default.

Christmas is not secular, though in North America (and I'm sure Europe to some extent) we love to try to turn it into a capitalist holiday "for everyone." The fact that even atheists support it in mostly the same way as practicing Christians shows how effective this is.

Even in our supposedly secular society, Christianity is maintained as the norm by our continuation of their practices upheld at the cultural level. You see it in some areas where specifically Sundays are codified as days of rest, where Christmas and Easter are codified as statutory holidays, where "visible" symbols of religion are banned but Christians can keep on wearing their necklaces under their clothes, where crosses are at times not even seen as religious.

OP, you said that you "would happily attend" other celebrations, but I note that even you say you celebrate Christmas. And while you might go to another holiday event if invited, I'm willing to bet that it's a rarity and you find it to be something of an interesting learning experience. Because culturally, those holidays are othered.

I'm just so tired of us pretending that we've become a secular society while we continue to uphold Christianity in all of these ways. We still have real work to do to unlearn Christianity's cultural supremacy in the west.

Actually, moderators have access to a new tool that flags accounts suspected of ban evasion. The cannot see IPs or which other accounts were related, but they can see if an account is suspected and with what level of confidence. Many subreddits have a policy to ban all such flagged accounts.
