You're reading very far into my use of a word. I used it because its meaning is very applicable here. It's not "empty ideological language." It means something similar to "patriotic," though I didn't use that word because for some reason in the US patriotism is considered to be a good thing.

This user seems to think the US superior to all other countries. The word's definition certainly seems to apply:

Militant devotion to and glorification of one's country; fanatical patriotism.
Prejudiced belief in the superiority of one's own gender, group, or kind.

They're asking because you're probably stuck in a media bubble based on the fact that you simply cannot read the opinions of people outside of the US's sphere of influence.

You're incorrectly assuming that something has to be incorrect to be chauvinistic.

You gave an opinion that can't really be called "correct" or "incorrect." It's just chauvinistic.

This is very chauvinistic.

If you stick with "Infinity," I just got a really good icon idea.

Also, way too many apps / alternative UIs for Lemmy have these ridiculous names that are all jumbles of the letters or puns on the word. I can't even tell them apart anymore.

Lemma, Lemminator, Lemming, Lemmios, Lemmotif, Lemmynade, Lemoa, Lemonade, Leomard, Memmy, Mlem, Mlmym.

Make it stop

You don't have to be chronically late to be diagnosed with ADHD. I am never later for anything, but that's due to some good coping mechanisms I learned over the years (that basically amount to "do nothing before the event and leave an hour early")

It's possible to have ADHD and good coping mechanisms that mean you don't meet every single hyperspecific criteria on a list like this. Hell, you might even cope so well that you didn't get bad grades in school. The diagnostic criteria looks for focus deficiency, executive dysfunction, impulsivity, restlessness, poor working memory. There are standardized tests for this.

"I'm not allowed to say slurs anymore and I'm mad about it. 😡😢"

No, I'm not. I'm saying that downloading from F-Droid is perfectly safe, as they verify all updates before putting them on the repo.

People have been referring to white plant excretions as "milks" for hundreds of years. Coconut milk, milk of magnesia, etc. Hell, almond milk was a popular ingredient in the Middle Ages.

But you'll also notice that language has changed a lot since the Middle Ages. This is a natural process, and no amount of prescriptivism or pedantry will stop it. Calling things that are not dairy — but that we use in all of the exact same ways as dairy milk — "milks" is not a problem.
