What makes people seek religion? Fear? Power? Control?
I don't like this.
I feel like too many people have kids for no reason... Unplanned and not genuine.
Yes son, we had you because we were bored. The world was in turmoil so we decided to bring you into it because we don't care if you have to suffer life too.
I've thought of it like that before.
But it's like when I think about politics and human progression or regression in society. There're a lot of ideological ways to 'fix' the world in theory, but if one were to make those ideas plausible reality would have to be completely different. Ime it's hopeless to have that mindset, it's a set up for failure and negative social dissonance. But even though I know that... I still find myself doing it.
I can think of great things but at the end of the day it doesn't change the world or help me.
Wishful thinking is sometimes better in small doses?
