Jerseys and gilets from Spexcel

Bibs from YKYWBIKE

Ride Now TPU tubes are bomb proof

Radar Tail Light and heart rate monitor from Magene (although I haven't tried the Garmin ones)

OG-Evkin Drop Bars

Things I wouldn't recommend

Glasses from Kapvoe (shit quality and risky in a crash)

OG-Evkin seat post (quality is good, but the way the seat attaches is prone to seize and difficult to adjust)

So I started with Plantar Fasciitis in both feet earlier this year and used running and cycling to finally lose weight and get in shape...ish. My right foot is back to normal but still dealing with pain in my left foot.

While regular running seems to be helping me, I ran my second 5k race and had to limp for the next 12 hours in excruciating pain. It seems the intensity is what makes running go from helpful to counterproductive.

I've seen running shoes and fitting services advertise their consideration for plantar fasciitis and wondering what this exactly entails. As far as I know the issue is mostly connected to my calf and lower leg and I never have any discomfort while actually running. Do these shoes do anything besides having more cushioning for the heel? I'm in Hoka Clifton 8's and can't imagine any more cushioning.

Does anyone have experience with buying shoes that "address" this or have any other insights?

Obviously seeing a doctor is the most important factor but I'm curious what experiences people have outside of that.

I've used vanced and revanced since day one and always checked the stickied reddit post for any update notes before upgrading to the latest patch set. Revanced decided to migrate to Discord which is possibly the dumbest place they could have gone to (read: I don't know how to use it to quickly find relevant patch notes and am angry about it), and I feel like updating to a new version is a crapshoot.

Do you know of a better place to find out which versions are compatible with the latest APK and where to get support if something breaks?

Revanced did this and it's infuriating. I just hop in once in a while and ask the same dumb question because I can't be arsed to scroll up 200 posts to find the answer; just to underscore this point.

can't get enough of bike fit James either. it's a bit repetitive but he provides great info.

Shortening shifter cable (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by hypnotoad@sh.itjust.works to c/bikewrench@lemmy.world

I've turned my Poseidon X into more of a road bike and swapped a 46cm bar for a much more comfortable 40cm. The microshift groupset has an externally routed shifter cable that was purposefully long to accommodate a bar bag, but it's now almost hitting my left hand. If I were to cut the cable shorter and feed it back into the derailleur, would I need to index my gears or can I just adjust the tightness with my barrel adjuster and be on my way?

Haha yeah and it's totally not 40...

Dude turn it sideways like a normal human being

A bit of shade implied at r/photoshopbattles but all their submissions are blank images which is not a bad way to protest

Are any of you following youth soccer enough to know how Dortmund in particular keeps finding gems?

I'm in the same boat. I mainly used Reddit to get into new hobbies and currently it's cycling. The amount of new posts on there is staggering and I've learned a ton over the past year. I'll be unsubbing from most subreddits and using it as a tool for specific subjects. For community building, discussions, and news I think I've found a new home in Lemmy. Hopefully I can contribute and help nieche communities grow so I can leave altogether.
