Somehow i assumed you were talking about dollars or euros. I have heard of this strategy (dollar cost averaging) by buying the same amount on a frequent basis. But i myself would be inclined to spread the risks too though. Best of luck accumulating that $695 though!

Edit: there are 365 days in a year, not 365,000. My mind went like 1,000 x 365 = 365,000 = a third of a million. Or a million every three years.

100%, i don't believe Europe has to be a part of China's conflict with Taiwan but i do think it is one of the only two parties that could make a difference for the Taiwanese and that other party doesn't seem very concerned with other nations wellbeing as of lately. Although Europe would still need at least either Korea or Japan to be able to make a stand. But it seems those two are perfectly willing to stand against both Russia and China so it's up to Europe to devide whether Ukraine and Taiwan win or lose their respective fight.

Almost like the hammer being your only tool if you think all problems have to be fixed with nails. Boycotting American companies surely can extend to products made in Europe, i agree that's completely different than boycotting everything Ireland makes.
I think all English speaking countries in Europe are culturally closer to US because of the language which means they are more accessible for US companies as well. There are other countries that could have played the same game as Ireland did, but they would have had a much harder time because there would be a language barrier. Punishing Ireland for using their position doesn't seem fair either, it would be much better to not allow US companies to benefit from Ireland by not buying their products wherever they're made unless there is no suitable alternative.
