You can make accounts with temporary emails through VPN on any website. This isn't something unique to, or even new to Twitter.

Unfortunately, turning off downvotes for yourself does not turn it off for others. You'll get little to no discussion if no one sees your comment.

You see this even for something as simple as being a mod on a small forum.

I'd be more willing to trust a VPN company with this data than an ISP. The former's entire business hinges on providing privacy to their customers while the latter can just sell your data to whoever they want and most people wouldn't bat an eye.

The part they didn't consent to was being in pain from overproduction of milk, which is something we imposed on them through selective breeding. If we didn't do that, they'd just go about their merry ways making enough to feed their calves and stop making milk when they've grown enough to feed themselves.

Not a Facebook user and I know nothing about them having to remove this. Seems strange to me that the government would prevent you from sharing information that they're trying to disseminate themselves. I do agree that the information should be available on any platform.

When I got my vaccine, they gave us a sheet with all the possible side effects, their relative frequencies, and when you should seek medical attention. Do you not get one of those?

Is the final piece the self driving part?

[–] howrar@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 years ago

You will aways find exceptions

Exactly. This is a response to your claim that we should not be comparing cars at all because no one should be driving at all, implying that there are no exceptions.

Why not both? No one is going to put their lives on hold until public transit becomes available. Until that happens, you choose the least harmful option.

As for having public transit available for everyone, how would that work in very sparsely populated areas? Wouldn't you just be wasting a ton of resources driving around a vehicle with no one in it?
