I don't see how it would be possible to completely replace programmers. The reason we have programming languages instead of using natural language is that the latter has ambiguities. If you start having to describe your software's behaviour in natural language, then one of three things can happen:

  1. either this new natural programming language has to make assumptions about what you intend, and thus will only be capable of outputting a certain class of software (i.e. you can't actually create anything new),
  2. or you need to learn a new way of describing things unambiguously, and now you're back to programming but with a new language,
  3. or you spend forever going back and forth with the generator until it gives you the output you want, and this would take a lot longer to do than just having an experienced programmer write it.

I'm so looking forward to creating order out of this mess

StackOverflow's yearly survey gives a pretty good overview of where things are going. Besides that, I'll often just see discussions about new stuff when I search for solutions to problems I encounter. I've never found the need to go out of my way to keep up.

No, you're probably thinking of Moore's law.

Why don't they? You're saying that a piracy forum has no place for discussing anything that isn't promoting piracy. I'm telling you that it does, because the topic of piracy includes the topic of when one should or should not pirate.

I block ads using uBlock. Does that count?

A nearby post office is nice because they can leave your packages there when you miss the delivery. I agree on banks though. Just give me ATMs for those rare occasions where I need cash.

Just like how a community centered around recreational drugs is going to recommend against taking drugs if it puts your life in danger, or a python community telling you to learn C if you want to do embedded programming, or a hammer community telling you to use a screwdriver on a screw.

Why even bother with hot swapping? Just shut down the simulation and turn it back on when you're done upgrading. No one in the simulation would be able to tell that anything happened.

Isn't carnivore just keto but on hard mode? How was that doable but not keto?

You've read a bit on MDPs, which is a good start. You may also want to look into reinforcement learning for how to optimize said MDP.

From what I recall, the danger of TiO2 comes from inhaling the particles, which means that when it's mixed into food, it becomes harmless. But it does means that it's dangerous to those involved in preparing the food if safety precautions aren't taken.
