That would do it. It's funny that our banned instances list puts startrek.website and ani.social right up there with the Tankie Triad, but I'm sure Jerry has his reasons for all of those.

I'm glad more people are putting alt text on art posts now. It's actually helpful. Sometimes it points out details I didn't spot, like the ghost cat in the picnic basket.
Hi there, travelers! I'm a little afraid of Genshin Impact because of its gacha mechanics, but it sure has good characters! If Paimon ever becomes playable, I might have to install the game.
For AI slop, this is surprisingly coherent. I wonder if this engine can render someone eating ramen with chopsticks.
My only real problem with this is that it isn't a GIF. Clearly it's an MP4, with actual video quality and sound. I know this community allows MP4s, but it feels like cheating.
/r/Columbus . !columbus@lemmy.world exists but it never really took off and has been dead for 8 months. I haven't had anything relevant to post there, but if I find something good, I'll post it. !ohio@midwest.social just isn't the same.
I know. It seems Misskey/Sharkey/Akkoma/etc. support a bunch of nonstandard effects like rainbow color cycles and bouncing jelly animations. Absolutely none of those $[command] commands work on Mbin or Lemmy.
But somehow, when viewing @23sonics@evilfoundry.net Sharkey profile in Mbin, those non-Markdown tags all get stripped out gracefully. It looks like the same doesn't happen when an Mbin user tries to use those commands.
In Piefed a different subset of those tags from that Sharkey profile make it through. Somehow, this includes the HTML tag. ... just in case, .
The string ${i18n.ts._mfm.dummy}
is meant to be replaced with "Sharkey expands the world of the Fediverse" or its localized equivalent.
It keeps going. I wondered if I could get anyone to watch this GIF until it looped, finding themselves watching this for 18 minutes.
The very same. Blinkenlights Telnet went down about four years ago, but the animation is preserved at the creator's site.
I asked, and @milan@discuss.tchncs.de isn't convinced that they need to host Lemmy frontends like Photon because most people don't need them. Honestly, that's a fair reason. Tchncs.de already hosts so many services that the added overhead of another subdomain wouldn't be worth it.
I guess it didn't matter that much. When linking Lemmy threads to non-Lemmy users, I like using Photon because it looks nice by default. I get to recommend an instance this way, so I could look up the post on photon.reddthat.com and link to that post on that instance. I really want to recommend sopuli.xyz or tchncs.de this way, but no Photon.
Alright then, hear me out.
Wow, I didn't think my little comment issue would end with brokering peace in the federation. Cool! Thank you for working it out.
