Well, since you're here, I'll try embedding the update's original Mastodon toot and see where it works:

While I agree that fascists like him should be afraid to go out in public, that particular fascist dying would make him a martyr. He needs to live long enough to be convicted again and actually serve jail time.

The best bubble solutions aren't stable. The water part of the bubble mix might have evaporated some, and surfectants alone doesn't do much without the surface tension of water holding things together

Try adding a little more water to the solution and stirring. Also, make sure the air where you're blowing bubbles isn't too dry.

I don't know for sure. My only credential here is that the #bubbles tag is mostly my posts.

Besides Mbin, I've been using Sharkey a lot. It's really nice! I also want to use Peertube and Owncast more.

@slippyferret@lemmy.blahaj.zone Well heads up, there's an update!

It is more efficient to put your lifting gas in one big balloon than several smaller ones, since there's less balloon material to lift. If I understand, it's always Valentyna up there, and she's been doing this balloon act for 20 years.

Nice video! This classic track goes great with 80s CG. I want to make games that look like Deja Vu.

Lisa Frank 420 needs more covers.

Diablo Swing Orchestra is seriously good. The HTML5 port of Winamp defaults to them for a reason.

Turns out this comment was right.

The Momoko 120% game is probably Urusei Yatsura: Lum no Wedding Bell with the tacked-on Urusei Yatsura license taken back out.

. . .This, here #balloons

Do you think 80's arcades were dark rooms with colorful carpets and neon lights? That was hardly the truth. This video does a fantastic job covering the diverse aesthetics of several chains of amusement centers as they tried to distance themselves from the seedy establishments where teenagers would skip school.

If I broke a rule, I apologize, but I'd like to know what I did. Yesterday, I posted a user-generated map of ICE agent sightings and Lemmy.world's automod immediately deleted the post and banned me from the entire site. I have no idea why that post, above all my other interactions with !resist@fedia.io, warranted a sitewide ban. Is it because I changed the title to blame a vile subreddit when the map went down? I really hope it isn't partisan bias.

An interactive map of ICE sightings in the US, showing you only today's sightings by default. Use caution in any of the areas marked on the map. It looks like people can report sightings anonymously, but please only report confirmed sightings where you have a photo. We are stronger together.

Source is YouTube. No pressure, but I'm testing this against a different floating ball of water that I crossposted in !imaginary@reddthat.com . Good luck!

The intermediate axis theorem states that an object can rotate around its longest axis or its shortest axis without trouble, but stable rotation around its intermediate axis will be impossible. It's hard to observe this on Earth, but Dr. Ben Longmier asked an ISS astronaut to try this for YouTube. Now it's the first post on !physicsgifs@lemm.ee ! It only took 19 months.
