Yes, but they use reinsurance companies to spread the risk around the globe. The whole world economy might be down, but there is unlikely to be major insurance events in all countries at once. Covid claims could have broken that but most insurance decided not to cover it.

Nah, he's American now. You can keep him.
It will also happen when it is actual agents, as they don't identify themselves.
Globally, we need to start tariffs on all the USA tech companies.
They undermine and eee local equivalents. Tax all the ads and income from their sales at 35% or whatever they decide to tariff.
They might find out pretty quickly that they are not in favour of tariffs and the competition it brings in local markets. For the USA, it will be problematic as scaling up manufacturing is very difficult. Scaling up digital technologies is quick and cheap.
We'd also find much less profit offshoring as all the 'IP' they pay to their co pay offshore would also be subject to that tax, so profit shifting becomes much more expensive, too.
2 birds, one stone.
Yes, I think it’s maybe the age and time. People strike me as more cynical now.
The reason we have a justice system is to prevent mob justice, and revenge. Prisons in many countries are supposed to rehabilitate not punish. The USA justice system seems more about dealing punishment, than preventing crime or keeping society safe. The death penalty is one aspect of that. If it was really about protecting people, those that cut the jobs of the people that could have prevented 100+ deaths in Texas would be in jail. It’s about keeping the poor in place. The Epstein files will be interesting if released, as they will all be wealthy people, hurting children and the vulnerable. There won’t be any motive apart from desires and power. Should they not be punished?
Case studies are scientific evidence. They are just not strong scientific evidence.
Lots of people are annoyed by genocide, I would say more so than those annoyed by the use of the term. That doesn’t even count the dead.
Of you contract to a military that genocides, you’re complicit. I don’t run a company working with the IDF and I knew it was a risky endeavour.
You all should start watching "Such Brave Girls" from the UK. It's the darkest sitcom I've ever seen. It's the first time in a long time I've laughed so hard. I felt bad after. Suicide and depression shouldn't be so funny.
Surely, it makes sense to remove the subsidies to mean they still remain competitive but prevent deflation without cost to the country. That would also provide reassurance to Europe and other (logical) economies that China is not going to subsidise to control the market and then ratchet the price.
But that's a simple fix. Let's just make sure everyone has healthcare. Make it universal, so nobody depends on working or not working to live.
Yea, but the markets expect him to chicken out.
