Hence the question.

I don't know. My husband and I have been together for 20+ years. I feel that judging other people makes us appreciate that we're not awful. We're weird but on a way we both like. So many people are just not good people. If you like each other and can have fun with each others friends and family, youre on a good start. If you can enjoy them without.ylir SO company, you're among your people..of it's better because they are therz well then everything is.

It was true, which is why they used to march out of step. It's not a problem for protest matches that are not in time.

Haha, yes. Even as I wrote it, I wondered if it was just a case that Ireland was not listed for the UK market. Also inwonder d with Sweden having a different name was Denmark just an afterthought. Their languages are quite similar is often a similar market.

Perhaps multiple names were used for only a short period while the markets were tested.

Even without inflation due to imports, wait until everyone finds out how much even American made stuff costs more due to increased borrowing costs and reduced investment.

Then you'll have the lack of competition and the actual underlying inflation.

I'm in Australia, which is expensive. I've had multiple people come back from trips to USA shocked at how expensive it all is..USA used to be relatively cheap due to cheap labour and competition. Not so much any more.

Yeah. I'm in Sydney and Brisbane annoys me daily without even being there. ;)

Is that the one where it seems they were wrong place, wrong time, rather than targeted?

Yes, I agree. The ultra rich won't be affected as their assets price will rise. The boomers who have reverse mortgages their house have cash, or a perpetuity. The asset will rise. Their money will not.

The poor will certainly be worse off, as they always are. The young will be worse off. However, their wages will rise to catch up. Maybe not enough, but a rose nonetheless. The boomers depending on the reverse mortgage income or the cash pile from the agreement will just have devaluation.

Boomers will be more worse off in dollar terms and percent of wealth lost. At least, that's my guess.

Even odder that Ireland would be different to the uk. Most marketing and branding is unified for both due to the same language and distribution networks. This has a visually changed since brexit, but this was the 80s, when most of Ireland’s trade was with the uk, not Europe and the USA.

lol, would that mean that any serial killer not already in the public eye would be protected? It’s ridiculous.

When I go to a post with video media, on iPad, there doesn't seem to be a way to exit. For images, they can be swiped away or touch outside to exit. For videos, ice tried different gestures and there is no back button or X.

I use Android daily, with a back swipe gesture, but there is no such gesture I'm aware of on iPad. Does anyone know how or should I submit a bug or feature request?

I’m trying to set containers for some websites on a shared windows terminal with multiple users under the same login. We use some cloud software and each user has their own log in. Manually opening websites in container manager allows this, but I’m struggling to do so for opening in container for the home page.

Each log in just launches in the default container (unassigned). I’ve tried using bookmark tree, which seems to support containers, but I can’t get it to work. Assigning a site to always open in a container doesn’t seem to work either as it’s the same site for multiple users (which seems to be the purpose of multi account container), so if it always opens in container A, person B still needs to manually open in their container.

I just recently got the 190 update pushed. It mentioned lots of fixes. One was image handling.

I have found that now exiting an image is a bit slow or glitchy. A single gesture to go back does not exit and instead it needs two. Tapping an image instead still closes it but there is a delay that wasnt there before.

I'm on a pixel 7pro with gesture navigation.

My phone coverage stopped for a period. I was using connect at the time and a comment failed. I initially thought it was a big but noted after restarting, it still was out. Then I checked with a test search to find it was all internet.

A few minutes later internet was back. Went back into Lemmy and refreshed. No data showing. I checked down-for-me for my instance and it was up. Refreshed again. No data.

Again restarted app and it was fine then. So, it seems he connection outage did not allow refresh after it came back, despite a restart during the outage.
