I have to say I'm really impressed with James Vowles. The way he leads the team by example and shields them from unfair or unjust criticism is just refreshing to see. Williams seem to have a long term plan and want to stick with it, which seems very reasonable to me in this kind of environment. You won't make any significant progress by changing direction every couple of months.

I also appreciate the context they provide which is especially important in such a competitive sport. I really hope Sargeant can continue to improve, he seems like a good kid and I wouldn't want to change seats with him. You could feel the pressure when he tried to force a correction in suzuka qualifying by just using brute force in the last corner. you could feel the desperation and it was horrible.

Oh, and one other issue. I think the incident in the race with bottas was at least 50/50 between the two. If you watch the replay, sargeant already locks up his front right before valteri is even alongside him and it only got worse after that. Once he unloaded the front left and locked up, there was no stopping the car before the apex. valteri never had a chance making it on the outside. Sure, sargeant locked up, but valteri can't say he was surprised by this since the lock up already started before he overtook him.

Well, sending him out again made sense from a team perspective. But it is not really sportsmanship like behavior, that is for sure.

Reminded me of the team orders in 2021 DTM finale. Sure you can order the first three drivers to slow down because that is the only way to win the championship, but nobody's going to respect you for it.

Perez is really on a roll here, what a shit show the last two races. Marko was surprisingly tame about the race, not sure I trust that.

I don't see him or Sargeant in a F1 car in 2024, at least they shouldn't be with the amount of talent that is available coughLawsoncough

Hmm, maybe. Depends on the infrastructure they put up. If there is a separate domain for the telemetry, then you can block it. Still no guarantee that it still works though.

The app will need internet access to login though. That really is a cat and mouse game that is not worth your time I'd say.

I regularly comments from users who were not aware or the financial situation. Maybe "we" need to promote it a bit more. But it is 332 per week, not month. At the beginning of the last migration it stood at 40 something, so we at least got some traction.

Wem das nicht bewusst war. Die Bundeswehr laesst ueber deren IT Dienstleister BWI einen BundeswehrMessenger entwickeln ;eben auf Basis von Matrix und Synapse. Da ist wohl auch zusaetzlich ein Messenger fuer den oeffentlichen Dienst in Arbeit. Ziemlich spannende und sinnvolle Kooperation finde ich.

Das aber genau mein Punkt. Wenn man sich die Entwicklung von dem Zeug mal ansieht, dann wird das in ein paar Jahren selbst fuer diejenigen mit hervorragender medienkompetenz zum Problem werden.

Entweder weil das zeug so gut ist das man es quasi nicht mehr erkennen kann, oder weil die Anzahl an falschmeldungen einfach nicht mehr zu Korrigieren ist.

Wenn man aber bedenkt das wir jetzt schon Leute haben die sich auch ohne solche deep fakes wilden Verschwörungen hingeben und fuer Fakten nicht mehr erreichbar sind......

Die schlechte Auflösung ist auf jeden Fall auch Absicht und ein Indiz. Die Formulierungen sind auch ganz offensichtlich nicht passend fuer einen Nachrichten Moderator,vom Inhalt mal ganz abgesehen.

Das wird zukünftig wesentlich schwerer werden und ich sehe grade auch kein Mittel dagegen.
