ADHD sign!!!

Being a bit weak at the whole object permanence thing is a common trait of people with ADHD, and other similar neurodivergences too presumably. Being unable to see your things makes them hard to find. Doorless shelves, or those with windowed doors are a good option.

I think the idea is that clothes, especially gasps underwear are personal items that should be stored out of view. Hence the common clothes drawer, or closet door. Don't follow those norms blindly. If having your things visible helps you find them do that. Not just for clothes.

My ideal closet would have everything hung up or on open front shelves, clearly visible. But with big folding doors so when open everything can be seen, but the closet mess can be hidden for the 3 times each year I have guests.

I'm pretty sure that's Canada. Speed limit sign is a tell.

I'm really looking forward coming back to this community tomorrow, with the knowledge that many deeply unpleasant people have been banned and will not be around anymore.

The moderators of this community do an exquisite job. Rules are enforced, but with kindness. All rule breaking is treated as an honest mistake, unless proven otherwise.

Even though this thread is filled with vitriol, there is no censorship. No comments were removed by moderators. Bans are not applied retroactively.

Thanks so much for the work you do for this community! Keep it up! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

A better way of taxing would be without a proxy. Road wear is proportional to vehicle weight and miles driven. That's why I'm advocating for that.

Taxes are an incentive. Under my proposal being better saves money. Not buying gas lowers your tax. Driving less lowers your tax. Driving a lighter vehicle lowers your tax.

Being bad and driving a heavy, gas powered, car excessive distances becomes unaffordable. As it should.

Big rigs are commercial vehicles. Driving is the work, not the commute. So they are wearing down the roads 8 hours a day, instead of the hour or so of a passenger car.

Long haul trucking only exists because of massive subsidies. Truck registration, tolls, and all other fees should be thousands of times higher than small cars, to be fair and equitable.

If they're not buying gas they should not be paying gas taxes. That's the point. Reducing gas consumption is a good thing.

I don't sympathize anymore.

I would guess the link was to a post on the lemmyshitpost community on lemmyworld. There was a meme that mentioned this community and is now gone.

It was a meme about writing a "banger" comment and then deleting it to respect the women's only rule. Discussion did what you would expect.

This community here at womensstuff is a women's only place that is quite nice.

oh is it my turn now?

ahem...

please read the rules. Women's only community.

Sorry about how you're feeling, I do sympathize, but please share it elsewhere.

Another state actively disincentivising electric vehicle adoption by charging extra. It is an incredibly stupid policy. All else being equal, electric cars are less bad than gas cars.

Motor vehicles should be taxed based on mileage and weight. If drivers can save money on their taxes by driving a car that is less bad for the environment, that a good thing, and a sign of effective policy.

I have been on HRT for a little over two months. I am taking sprio and sublingual estradiol.

These treatments have pretty much cured my depression, but otherwise I feel pretty much the same. I kind of expected estrogen to feel actively different most of the time, but so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

However, today I felt my nerves for the first time on HRT, and it felt very different. I get stage fright on occasion. This time wasn't worse or anything, but it felt so very different. Like the nerves were in my body instead of my head.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with performance anxiety before and after HRT? I'd also love to know if are other experiences that feel distinctly different that I can look forward to.

Thx in advance. Love you all <3
