Great write-up. Arch was my first experience with Linux on the desktop, and I learned so much. Would highly recommend it, even if you don't want to stick with it.
You should be able to block the lemmit bot. That's what I did and no more Reddit "archive" posts.
or through Lightning! ;)
That's awesome. I was just looking for an add-on or something that would connect them.
There's a reasonable $10/yr subscription to enable TOTP
My cat does this too. I like to think she's protesting my leaving.
The Tile is a great idea!
Welcome! Top 3 board games?
Hello, Lemmy! Hikeandbike here. I'm an IT network administrator from Michigan.
I was never quite active on Reddit... So can't quite say I'm a refugee. But, heard about Lemmy on the Self Hosted podcast and thought I'd give it a try!
As my username says, I enjoy hiking, and more specifically, mountain biking. Just backpacked the Manistee River Trail and trying to find some time to backpack the trails along the Pictured Rocks.
Besides that, self hosting, rock climbing (mostly indoor,) and Linux & open source are how I spend my free time.
I do have a pretty complicated setup at home
Going to need more details! My coworker got a Fortigate for free (!!) from his last gig. I've personally got a Cisco 2901 I set up for home as part of my CCNA training.
I'd love to get more involved with FOSS volunteering.Though, you may not be happy to hear I'm in a committed relationship with vim...
I just set up flame and am liking it so far. Care to share your scripts?
