I kind of hate how everyone rushed to re-create all the subreddits as magazines but they're nearly all just sitting there empty. in c/random@kbin.social

@Sabata11792 it just feels like a kind of gross version of squatting. Not actually interested in making and moderating that community, just taking some kind of ownership over the name. And gatekeeping people who might actually want to bootstrap that community.

@ernest I appreciate the transparency on this. Don't beat yourself up too much though, we all make mistakes and this one is easily fixable with attribution.
